CHRISTMAS IS THE SEASON TO GIVE
Dear Fellow Students of Hebrew,
Bethlehem in Hebrew (ืืืช ืืื) simply means the House of Bread. It is the birthplace of our Lord Jesus. Yet, in Bethlehem, we have our Jewish brothers and sisters who need food. Can we give something this year to help them? Also, we have Holocaust Survivors in Israel. They also need help.
In my response to the message below from Rev Dr John Ong of MBTS (I highlighted in red), on top of my little contribution, I have offered to give away 200 copies @RM10 a copy of my latest book, "Same God, Different Stories" to raise funds for our brethren in Israel.
Proceeds from the sale of these books will be given to Bethlehem, Tel Aviv Holocaust Survivors. By giving away these 200 books, I am killing three birds with one stone:
(a) You will be able to give away the books to pre-believers as Christmas gifts to pre-believers.
(b) It gives you and me the opportunity to make a contribution indirectly to the Holocaust Survivors and the poor in Bethlehem, the birthplace of our Lord.
(c) It helps boost the sale of the second print run of the books. First print run is sold out.
These books are to be sold between now and Christmas, and capped at 200 books. The books will be available to you for only RM10 a copy. You can buy any number of copies, but the proceeds will be capped at only 200 copies.
Do take advantage of the Pos Laju charges @RM6 (within Peninsular Malaysia only) for up to 1kg. Each book is about 0.14kg.
The Mechanism:
(1) Please contact me by Whatsapp. Let me know the quantity, address (with Postcode) and I will let you know the total, which will have to include the Pos Laju charges.
(2) Once you bank in the amount, please Whatsapp me the pay-in slip. Please allow me to post the list of donors here for accountability sake. I will be discreet as to use only the initials. Hence, give me your initials to use.
(3) Total should be RM2000 to be given to Bethlehem & Holocaust Survivors if all 200 books are purchased. Transfer to MBTS account once we reach RM2,000. This is the cap.
I also encourage all of us to join the Zoom session for the Christmas Cross Cultural Series: Love in Action on 23 December 2021 (Thursday):

Message from Rev Dr John Ong (MBTS):
As we enter to Christmas season in December, it is the time to remember the love of Christ, and also to share His love! Much care is needed for the poors in the Holy Land and the unreached people groups at Balkan Peninsula of Eastern Europe, who are sending the call, "Come over and help us!"
You are invited to join the three days zoom meetings to have fellowship with the locals and hear from them. You can also consider to participate by sharing a gift during this cold winter Christmas season. If you are willing to give an offering, please contact us. Thank you!
Please do share with other Christian friends to join the hybrid zoom meetings too.
